Biography/History:
Proported to be a late Vedic-period ritualist and commentator, circa 5th century B.C., but the writtings attributed to this figure are most likely composed by members of a group of Brahmins known as the Baudhāyanīyas, who lived in North India during that period.
Summary:
Manuscript is a guide or manual for hotṛ priests on how to perform the new and full moon sacrifices as laid out by the Baudhāyanīyas according to their texts dealing with public sacrifice, the Śrauta Sūtras.
