- Summary:
- Manuscript for public or private use for consultation, recitation, and celebration of a feast that is held over the course of three nights (trirātra) and the performance of related observances (vratas). Text celebrates the killing of the demon king Rāvaṇa and the sorrow-ending powers of the Aśoka tree.

- Title from colophon (f. 6v).
- Written in 9-10 lines per leaf.
- 6 leaves foliated 2, 4, 6, lower right verso.
- Colophon: iti caitraśuklatrayodabhyāṃ bhaviṣye aśokatrirātravrataṃ saṃpūrṇam // (f. 6v).
- Mistakes blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins.
- Written on European paper with watermarks. The same scribe and paper were also used for Item 1447, Item 1453, Item 1454, Item 1456, and Item 1459, and may have originally been from the same manuscript as one or more of these items.
