Summary:
In Kenya, a one-party system served as de facto tribalism. Current rule by a two-party coalition has not yet overcome all of the problems stemming from the former rule. Maina Kiai talks with a wide range of Kenyans, many of them community activists, about their frustration over the allocation of government resources.
