- Summary:
- Small manuscript for private consultation to be used in observances (vratas) and worship (pūjā) of the Hindu deity, the elephant-headed Gaṇeśa and marking the fourth day after the full moon in the month of Bhādra (August/September). Celebrated as the birthday of the elephant-headed god. Practitioners fast during this period. Gaṇeśa is especially renowned for removing troubles (saṃsaṣṭa) and other obstacles in people's lives.
