Summary:
Manuscript employed for consultation and recitation; praises the month of Mārgaśīrṣa (November-December) when the moon enters into the constellation of Mṛgaśiras. Presented as a conversation between the Hindu deities Kṛṣṇa and Brahmā. Praises the god Kālabhairava, a form of the god Śiva. Final folio is damaged and missing some text.

Colophon: iti śrīskaṃdapurāṇe mārgaśīrṣamāhātmye mathurāṃāhātmyaṃ nāmaṣo[?]śo[??]yāyaḥ śrīrāmāya namaḥ maṃgalaṃ pāṭakāraṇaṃ lekhakāṇāṃ ca maṃgalamaṃgalaṃ sarvalokāṇaṃ bhumibhūmatiṃ maṃgalaṃ 1 yādṛśaṃ pustakaṃ dṛṣṭvā tādṛaśaṃ likhitaṃ mayā yadi śuddham aśuddhaṃ vāmama[??]ṣonadīyate 2 (f. 23r).
Colophon (in second hand): idaṃ pustakaṃ dravyadvārālikhapitaṃ / saṃvat 1847 durmatyabde māghakṛṣṇe bhubhaṃbhavat // śrīviśveśaṃ mādhavaṃ ḍhauṃḍhiṃ daṃdapaṇiṃ ca bhairavaṃ / vaṃde kāśīṃ guhāṃ gaṃgāṃ bhavānāṃ maṇikarṇikāṃ // śrīkālabhairavāya namaḥ // śrī // (f. 23r).
