Penn Libraries copy in the amorial binding of Sir William Stirling Maxwell: full blind-tooled calf with Maxwell's arms, incorporating his motto ("GANG FORWARD") and initials ("WS"), on left board and his monogram ("WS") on right board; 5 raised bands on spine; title ("DICTERIA PROVERBIALIA RHTHMICA"), author's name ("AND. GARTNERI, ETC[...]") and imprint ("FRANC: 1580 [sic]") stamped in gold on spine; colored endpapers (now orange); all edges red.
