Summary:
Manuscript used for private or public recitation, prayer, and worship during the Ekadaśī celebrations of the month of Māgha (January-February). Offerings of sesame seeds (tila) are made to the Hindu deity Viṣṇu, who is honored during the rites. Performed in order to help the poor and increase especially grain and rid oneself of sin.
