Summary:
British philanthropist Sir Sigmund Sternberg first arrived in England as a WWII refugee from Hungary. When his success in business allowed him to become a philanthropist, he championed causes that promoted interfaith dialogue between Christians, Jews, and Muslims through his work with the Council of Christians and Jews and the Three Faiths Forum. This biography covers his early years through his marriage and family, the creation of the Sternberg Center for Judaism, his promotion of a Roman Catholic convent at the site of Auschwitz, and his knighthood. The book's many b&w and color photos portray family and career milestones. Klein has written two previous books on Jewish history. The book is distributed in the US by ISBS.
