- Summary:
- Exploring and explicating the thoughts of British-born philosopher Philip Kitcher (b.1947), affiliated with Columbia U., ten essays (including three by Kitcher himself) address the evolution of his philosophy, and scientific realism in his present approach, and offer epistemological and methodological analyses. In conclusion, Kitcher provides a reply titled "Second Thoughts." The papers are from a March 2006 conference at the U. of A Coruña, Spain, where editor Gonzalez is affiliated with the philosophy department. He explains in his foreword that the road to publication was long, but ultimately well worthwhile. Annotation ©2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
