Summary:
Two separate texts dealing with rites and observances (vrata) of the Ekādaśī (11th day of the 15 day cycle of each month). Worship (pūjā) and rites of the first text are to be performed during the month of Bhādrapada (August-September), in the bright half of the month, and is dedicated to the Hindu deity Vāmana (dwarf avatāra of Viṣṇu), and elsewhere referred to as the Padmaekādaśī. Rites of the second text are performed during the dark half of the intercalated (extra) month called Mala (inauspicious). Both texts are concerned with the removal of sins (pāpa) deal with rites such as fasting or vows of silence (maunavrata) that give benefits to the worshiper or ward off misfortune. Texts are presented as a dialogue between the Hindu deity Kṛṣṇa and the legendary king Yudhiṣṭhira. Manuscript is slightly damaged on left causing partial loss of text (f. 1-9).
