Mystical hymn of praise to the Hindu deity Viṣṇu that evokes a protective circle or diagram (cakrī) around the reciter of the various mantras in the text. Especially evokes military imagery (battle, swords, spears, and other similar examples), which serve as symbolically protective armor over the body of the devotee engaged in recitation and worship.
