The 12 papers of this collection were presented at an eponymous symposium held in Madrid, Spain in September 2008. They report on archaeological study of topics that include the shipwrecks of Heracleion-Thonis, ceramic assemblages and ports, harbors of the central Tyrrhenian coast, Roman maritime concrete, and the maritime distribution of stone during the Roman Empire.
