Letter from the Secretary of the Interior, transmitting information, with report dated the 4th instant, from the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, in response to Senate resolution of the 26th ultimo, calling for the action taken by that department to ascertain the damages resulting from the raid of Northern Cheyenne Indians through the western portion of the Indian Territory and the States of Kansas and Nebraska in 1878.
