- Summary:
- Late 19th-century copy of a 17th-century work on the calendar of the Cakchikel Indians of Guatemala, evidently copied by or under the direction of Daniel Garrison Brinton, probably from a manuscript copy of the same work produced by C. Hermann Berendt in Guatemala City in 1878 (see Ms. Coll. 700, Item 57, p. 9-27); Berendt's copy was based on the original manuscript. In terms of the primary material, the present manuscript corresponds to Berendt's copy in content and format; it does not include any of Berendt's own annotations, and does not explicitly refer to Berendt's manuscript.
