Letter of the Secretary of the Interior communicating, in compliance with a resolution of the Senate of the 23d instant, information in relation to the action of the Hannibal and St. Joseph Railroad Company, of Missouri, under the act entitled An act to aid in the construction of a railroad and telegraph line from the Missouri River to the Pacific Ocean, and to secure to the government the use of the same for postal, military, and other purposes, approved July 1, 1862, and the assignment by said company of the franchise conferred by the thirteenth section of said act, also a copy of a map of Kansas and Nebraska, showing the route of the St. Joseph and Denver City Railroad.
