Tribunals and inquiries [H.L.] A bill [as amended by Standing Committee B] intituled an act to constitute a Council on Tribunals; to make further provision as to the appointment, qualifications and removal of the chairman and members, and as to the procedure, of certain tribunals; to provide for appeals to the courts from decisions of, or on appeal from, certain tribunals; to require the giving of reasons for certain decisions of tribunals and ministers; to extend the supervisory powers of the High Court and the Court of Session; to abolish certain restrictions on appeals from the Court of Session to the House of Lords; to make further provision with respect to the appointment and qualifications of general commissioners of income tax, and provision for the payment of allowances to general and additional commissioners; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid.
