Licensing. A bill to extend state management to new towns and adjoining areas and to make further provision as respects state management districts; to amend the law relating to licensing justices and confirming and compensation authorities; to provide for the payment of allowances to members of licensing courts and courts of appeal in Scotland; to prohibit in certain cases the supply and consumption of intoxicating liquor outside the permitted hours and to make further provision as respects refreshment houses and spirit and wine dealers; to amend the Licensing Planning (Temporary Provisions) Acts, 1945 and 1946, and to extend the provisions of the Finance Act, 1946, as to the suspension of justices' licences; to provide for the application of the licensing laws to the Isles of Scilly; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid.
