Prisons (Scotland) Acts 1860-1904. Rule made by the Secretary for Scotland appointing the new prison at Edinburgh a legal place of detention for all descriptions of criminal and civil prisoners, and providing that all rules and orders applicable to the present prison of Edinburgh shall be applicable to the said new prison. This rule does not come into operation for 40 days after being laid before Parliament.
