Shooting outrages on the police. Return to an address of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated 13 March 1913;--for, "return of cases in which fire-arms have been used against police officers during 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1912":--(1) Date and place of offence. (2) Weapon used. (3) Sex, age, nationality, and occupation of offender, if known. (4) Circumstances of the affray, showing how the offender came in conflict with the police. (5) Banks and numbers of police officers concerned. (6) Nature of injuries caused, if any. (7) Whether the assailant was captured, offence proved, and sentence passed. Note.--This return should include cases where police officers were shot at and cases where the trigger was pulled but no discharge followed. If several police officers were present on the occasion, only those who were shot or shot at should be mentioned in column (5).
