Account prepared by the Admiralty, under the provisions of the Naval Works Acts, 1895, 1896, 1897, and 1899 (58 & 59 Vict. c. 35, s. 6 (1), 59 Vict. c. 6, s. 5 (1), 60 & 61 Vict. c. 35, s. 2, and 62 & 63 Vict. c. 42, s. 1), showing the amount of money issued out of the Consolidated Fund; the mode in which it was provided; the amount and nature of the securities created in respect thereof; the amount of the surplus of income above expenditure for the financial year ended 31st March 1896, set apart in the Exchequer account in accordance with section 4 of the Naval Works Act, 1896, and the application thereof; the amount of money expended in pursuance of the acts; and the purposes on which that money was expended, distinguishing the expenditure under each of the heads in the schedule of the acts, during the year ended the 31st March 1900; together with the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General thereon.
