Coal mines (explosions). Return showing, with regard to coal mines in the United Kingdom, the number, for the last ten years, of fatal explosions of which notice was required to be given under section 39 of the Coal Mines Regulation Act of 1872, or under section 35 of the Coal Mines Regulation Act of 1887, the number of lives lost, and, where such information was included in the notice, or otherwise conveyed to the inspectors, and is still preserved, the approximate hour of the shift when the explosion occurred.
