Hong Kong (restrictions upon the Chinese). Return to an address of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated 26 July 1881;--for, "copy or extracts of any despatches from the Governor of Hong Kong in 1877 and in 1881 respecting restrictions laid upon the Chinese merchants, with a view of reserving the central portion of the town of Victoria for English and foreign firms;" "and, of copy or extracts of despatches respecting the attempts made to drive out the Chinese by regulations as to Chinese graves, sanitation, and the compulsory publication of Chinese partnerships."
