Benefices (Church of England). Returns of the number of benefices permanently augmented and endowed by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners from 1840 up to the 31st October 1880; of the amount of the permanent augmentations and endowments made by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners to these benefices up to the same date, giving in respect of the lands, tithes, and other hereditaments annexed by them, their estimated value, distinguishing the amounts given in various years; of the amount of the benefactions and endowments, in stock and cash, received by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners from non-ecclesiastical sources up to the same date, distinguishing the amounts given in various years; and, of the estimated value of lands and hereditaments given by benefactors to meet grants."
