Army and militia reserves (relief to wives of men). Return showing, with respect to the several unions in England and Wales, the number of applications for relief by the wives or children of men in the army reserves between 3 April and 1 August 1878, the names of the applicants (distinguishing whether wives or children), the number of children under sixteen, the weekly earnings or income of applicant, the nature and amount of the relief ordered, and the total amount of relief given; and, similar return as to wives and children of men in the militia reserves.
