Many of the items of furniture are included in the estate inventory of Bingham's personal property, most of which was sold by A. Pettit & Co. on Nov. 22, 1805 (cf. Alberts, R.C. The golden voyage; the life and times of William Bingham, 1752-1804, 1969, p. 467-473). Probably these items and Bingham's library were sold separately, on Dec. 3, 1805, which fell on a Tuesday.
