Metropolitan Board of Works. Returns, in continuation of return no. 17, of 29th November 1867, up to 1st July 1868, showing the sums expended annually upon each work, since the establishment of the Metropolitan Board of Works, for main sewers and ordinary expenses, main drainage, and for the Thames Embankment, and for improvements, or other items of expenditure, in separate columns, with a terminal column of the total sum spent upon each work to the above date; of sums received from the several parishes, vestries, or district boards, or, in default of those bodies, by the board itself, and from the city of London, in respect of sewer and main drainage rates, and fire brigade.
