Return to an order of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated 24 July 1862;--for, returns "of the amount paid to the Consolidated Fund in each of the last ten years on account of fees on private bills, with the amount received in each year from the Consolidated Fund on account of the establishment charges of the House of Commons, and the balance in each year:" "of the amount of fees received in each of the last ten years under the separate heads of fees on private bills in the schedule attached to the standing orders:" "of each group of railway bills in the sessions 1861 and 1862, stating, in separate columns, the name of each bill, the number of counsel who appeared for the promoters, the number of days occupied in the promoters' case, with the number of witnesses examined:" "and, of the names of every petitioner who appeared by counsel in opposition to each bill, the number of counsel who appeared for each petition, the number of days occupied, and the number of witnesses examined in opposition; the number of days in which each petitioner was charged with fees for appearing by counsel, and the aggregate number of days occupied in the consideration of each bill."
