The Dreiser essay, "The Early Adventures of Sister Carrie," was republished in the 1932 Modern Library Edition of "Sister Carrie" published by Random House.

"'Breaking into Print' is set on the Monotype in Baskerville, a twentieth century recutting of the type originally designed in the eighteenth century by John Baskerville ... The composition, printing, and binding of this book is by The Haddon Craftsmen, Camden, New Jersey. The paper is an 85-pound antique book. The illustrations reproducing manuscript pages are printed by offset."
