Government contracts. Return to an address of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated 8 August 1859;--for, "returns of the prices paid to contractors for all supplies, from the 1st day of January 1857 to the 1st day of August 1859, to the War Department, and which have now determined:" "and, of the instances during the same period of the non-payment of contractors by the government within the terms of their contract, and to whom interest upon the sums overdue has subsequently been granted and paid; with the names of the parties, and the dates and amounts of such payments."
