Army. Nominal return of the lieutenant-colonels of the army on the 1st day of December 1854, who had been promoted to that rank before the 20th day of June 1854 (including those who were afterwards promoted in succession to deceased generals, but ante-dated on the 28th day of November 1854); showing the number of officers of the army and ordnance who have been promoted over each of them to the rank of colonel by the operation of the warrant of the 6th day of October 1854, specifying the amount of service on full and half pay; also, those officers who have not served six years as regimental field officers, and those officers who have received brevet promotion for services in the field.
