Church rates. A bill to abolish church rates for other than the purposes therein mentioned, to make provision for the maintenance of the fabric and necessary fittings of parish churches in certain cases, and to enable persons to redeem their liability to church rates, and otherwise to amend the law respecting the making, assessing, and collecting church rates in England and Wales.
