Population, &c. (Scotland). Abstract return of the population, the amount of property on which poor rate is levied, the rate in the pound of such rate, the sum received from annual parliamentary grant for medical relief, the total expenditure for relief and maintenance of paupers, and also for relief of casual poor, &c. in the several counties of Argyll, Inverness, Ross, and Sutherland, for the year 1853;--and similar return for the rest of Scotland.
