Metropolitan Burials Act. Return to an address of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated 16 November 1852;--for, "lists of the burial-grounds or graveyards which have been closed by virtue of the powers contained in the act passed during the last session of Parliament, intituled, 'an act to amend the laws concerning the burial of the dead in the metropolis:'" "of the applications which have been made to the Secretary of State for the Home Department to recommend the closing of graveyards under the provisions of the same act; and of the applications to him for permission to open cemeteries or burial-grounds within the district defined by the same act; stating in what cases permission has been granted, and in what refused:" "and, copies or extracts of all correspondence which has taken place between the Home Office and any parish or company with respect to the closing of any graveyard or burial-ground, or the opening of any new cemetery or burial-ground, and of all evidence laid before the Secretary of State for the Home Department in relation thereto."
