Return of the number of chargeable letters delivered in the United Kingdom in the year immediately preceding the first general reduction of postage, on 5th December 1839, and for each complete year subsequent thereto; account of gross and net Post-Office revenue, and cost of management, with the payments for conveyance of mails by railway in the United Kingdom, in each year from 5 January 1838; number and amount of money-orders issued and paid in each year ending 5 January 1840, up to 5 April 1847; and expense of Money-Order Office, and amount received as commission during the year 1851.
