Abstract of a return, showing the number of police constables in each county, or division of a county, in England and Wales, under the act 2 & 3 Vict. c. 93, distinguishing each class or denomination; including, also, a return of the number of police constables stationed in each petty sessions district in said counties, with the name and population of said district, and the amount paid to the county police rate by each district; together with an account, in detail, of the several items of expenditure for the year 1847.
