Lord advocate of Scotland. Return to an order of the Honourable House of Commons, dated 17th February, 1823; for a copy of the authority under which the clerk of the Court of Justiciary in Scotland, is empowered to grant the concourse of the lord advocate to prosecutions before that court at the instance of private parties; certifying the period during which it has been the practice to invest the said clerk with such power.
