Printing at the universities. Returns to orders of the Honourable House of Commons, dated the 18th July 1822;--for, --(1.)-- University of Cambridge. Return of the number, description, and value of books; distinguishing bibles, testaments, and prayer books, from all other books sold by the University of Cambridge, or on their account, for which the said university has been allowed a drawback; for each year, from 1815 to 1822. --(2.)-- Excise, Scotland. A return of all sums of money paid to the printers of the English and Scotch universities, as drawbacks of duty on paper printed upon, within the said universities; and also by the King's printer for paper used for printing of bibles, prayer books, testaments, forms of prayer, &c.; distinguishing the amount to each university, and the amount paid for in each year, from 1815 to 1822;-- and also, a similar return of the drawback allowed on paper for all other works printed by them, for the said periods:--in so far as regards this department. --(3.)-- University of Edinburgh. Return of the number, description, and value of such books, in the Latin, Greek, and Gaelic languages, printed at the press of the University of Edinburgh, as have been allowed drawback; from the year 1815 to 1822.
