Army: accounts relating to commissions, half-pay, &c.--viz. (1.) Account of every sum of money received for commissions that have at any time become vacant, either by death or dismission, or in those cases of promotion in which officers have not been allowed to sell their commissions, or receive the full amount of them; from 31 December 1819, to 25 March 1821:--continued from the account laid before the House of Commons on the 22d February 1820. (2.) Half-pay fund:--(A.) Monies received and paid on account of half-pay commissions, &c.--and (B.) Monies paid therefrom to the relations of officers, &c.:--continued from the account laid before the Honourable House of Commons on the 22d February 1820. (3.) Number of commissions in the regular cavalry and infantry which have been sold, from the 25 January 1816, to the 25 January 1821; distinguishing the number of each rank, the number which have been sold, and the produce appropriated to repay officers for commissions purchased by them; and the number of each rank the produce of which has been appropriated for the families of deceased officers who had purchased their commissions, and the number sold for the families of those who had never purchased. (4.) An account of the number of officers of each rank of the regular army promoted by the brevet of the 12th August 1819; distinguishing the number upon half and on full-pay at the time of such promotion, and stating the increase of pay to each rank, and the total increase of expense to the public by that brevet. (5.) A return of the number of ensigns and cornets promoted to be lieutenants; of lieutenants to be captains; of captains to be majors; of majors to be lieutenant-colonels in the regular regiments of the army, in each year, from 25 January 1816 to 25 January 1821; distinguishing the numbers of each rank in each year, and the cavalry from the infantry; the total in each year, and of the whole; and the number of each rank by purchase and without purchase.
