Excise, Scotland. Accounts relating to wash and spirits distilled for exportation to England: viz. (1.) An account containing, copy of returns by officers of districts in Scotland, since 1st October 1815, directed to be made every six or seven weeks, pursuant to act 45 Geo. III. cap. 100, sect. 10, of all the wash distilled by each distiller in Scotland working for export to England, and of the actual produce of spirits, and of the calculated quantity which ought to have been produced by each such distiller, on the presumption of the stills being worked six times per week; also, a copy of similar returns, as sworn to by the Scotch distillers. (2.) An account of the quantity of wash distilled, and of the spirits actually made and shipped for England, as sworn to by distillers in Scotland, since the 1st of October 1815, and up to the latest period to which the same can be made out. (3.) An account of spirits distilled and produced, as per account taken in the receiver, by each separate maker of spirits in Scotland for exportation to England, from the different quantities of wash by them respectively distilled, between the 1st October 1815 and the latest period to which the same can be made out: also, of the quantities of such spirits actually landed in England by each distiller, since the said 1st of October 1815, upon which the duties have been paid, and of the quantities remaining in the hands of each such distiller, and not exported or in transitu, up to the latest period to which the same can be made out. (4.) An account of the distillers in Scotland, distinguishing each by name, that have made entries to work for exportation to England, since the 30th September 1815, specifying the times at which such entries were made, at what period the respective distillers commenced working, and the times of their discontinuance under each entry; together with an account of the number of stills, and the content of each still in number of gallons, that have been so entered and worked; also, whether any and what distillers have given notice to discontinue working, up to the latest period to which this account can be made out.
