Charitable donations: --no. I.-- Return to an order of the Honourable House of Commons, dated 25 January 1819;--for, an account of the amount of rents and profits of messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments, belonging to any hospital, school or almshouse, or vested in trustees for charitable purposes; and also, of the amount of stock or dividends belonging to any corporation or society of persons, or of any trust established for charitable purposes: which have been claimed to be exempted from the duties granted by the act 46 Geo. 3. cap. 65, in the year ending 5th April 1815; distinguishing the county and parish in which such lands, and charitable foundations or institutions, are situate; and whether the allowances have been claimed by corporations, or trustees:-- so far as relates to the amount of rents and profits of messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments, belonging to any hospital, school or almshouse, or vested in trustees for charitable purposes.
