Navy Office, 28th June 1817. An account of all sums of money paid or claimed under the acts passed for the abolition of the slave trade, or under any orders in council, as bounties for slaves or natives of Africa, condemned in any court of Vice Admiralty; distinguishing the date of each claim and of each payment, and specifying the time and place of each respective capture or seizure and condemnation of the said slaves or natives of Africa; as also the vessel or military force by which they were captured, or other authorities by which the seizures were made; the names of the respective agents or parties by whom the claims have been made; and also setting forth, to whom and for whose account the said bounties have been so paid or claimed; so far as the said account can be made up. So far as relates to the Navy Office. --No. 2.--.
