A bill to repeal the provisions, regulations, and restrictions, contained in certain acts, passed in the 13th year of the reign of King Richard the Second, the 5th and 6th years of the reign of King Edward the Sixth, the 2d and 3d of the reign of King Philip and Queen Mary, and the 4th and 5th year of the same reign, the 43d year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth, the 4th and 21st years of the reign of King James the First, the 10th year of the reign of Queen Anne, and the 1st and 13th years of the reign of King George the First, so far as the same relate to the length, breadth, and weight of woollen cloths, the tentering, stretching and straining, and the viewing, searching and sealing of them by officers appointed for that purpose, the boiling of woo with certain ingredients, the prohibition of the use of lamb's wool, the sale of woollen cloths tacked and folded, the pressing of woollen cloth, and the use of gig mills, and the number of looms; and also, to repeal an act, passed in the 5th year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth, intituled, "an act containing divers orders for artificers, labourers, servants of husbandry, and apprentices," so far as the same relates to apprenticeships in the trade or business of a clothier, and in the several branches of the woollen manufacture, of weaving, dying, and cloth dressing, in the several counties of Gloucester, Wilts, and Somerset; and likewise for permitting the exportation of certain cloths unshorn.
