Summary:
In the heart of the Amazonian rainforest live with the Matis people. They're highly-skilled hunters, who use blowpipes to kill their prey. To improve the chances for a successful hunt, they take part in rituals to remove their fear and laziness, improve their speed and vision and increase their strength and endurance. The Matis remained uncontacted until the 1970s , when loggers and prospectors moved onto their land. This first contact proved devastating and the Matis were almost wiped out by Western diseases.
