- This forest in Northern France has survived for thousands of years. It has seen countless upheavals from the Roman conquest to the French revolution and three German invasions. Now it's the trench detectives turn. They're here to excavate the remains of a hunting chalet that played a dramatic role in the First World War. Hubert de Francqueville's (ph) great, great grandfather built the chalet.
