- Deep in the Mato Grosso in central Brazil live the 125 strong Mehinaku tribe. The village lies within the Xingu National Park, setup nearly 50 years ago to safeguard the Xingu Indians. Protected by the Law and distance from the white man's interference,they live a relatively undisturbed in traditional way of life.
