- Summary:
- The series that begins here is intended to provide a large-page format that will accommodate the illustrations necessary in pottery studies, as well as a dedicated journal by which specialists and others can follow developments in Roman and other late antique Mediterranean pottery. This first volume documents the November 2008 workshop in Barcelona on Roman fine ware where the series was conceived. Its purpose was to clarify problems regarding the typology and chronology of the three principle table wares: African Red Slip Ware, Late Roman C, and Late Roman D. The 17 papers, five in English, weigh in on the debate and provide contexts for it. They are not indexed. Distributed in North America by The David Brown Book Co.
