- Contralto born 27 February 1897 in Philadelphia and died 8 April 1993 in Portland, Oregon. From 1934 through the remainder of her musical career, Marian Anderson was managed by Hurok Concerts, Inc.

Anderson, and her husband, Orpheus H. Fisher; Anderson's notes, journals, calendars, and financial documents; correspondence and memorabilia from James DePreist; programs and publicity materials; clippings; awards and tributes; and memorabilia. The supplementary papers overlap chronologically and should be used in conjunction with Ms. Coll. 200, Marian Anderson Papers.
