Summary:
This is quite an interesting and beautifully prepared report from the European Values Study, a research project that began in the 1980s, dedicated to measuring values and beliefs in Europe. The volume's format is horizontal and oversize (13.5x9.75") with handsomely designed pages displaying data in color coded maps. Accompanying the maps are well-chosen photos and some graphical displays of data, as well as brief text that supplements and summarizes some of the findings. Roughly 130 maps display data for the 27 European countries pertaining to attitudes toward European citizenship, family life, work, religion, politics, society, and well-being.
