- Summary:
- The late Kindman (d. 1991) was the founder of The Paper, a Vietnam-War-era underground newspaper based in East Lansing, Michigan, and one of the founding members of the Underground Press Syndicate. This is his memoir, which recounts his first involvements with underground publishing in the late 50s and 60s at Michigan State U., his work in founding The Paper, and his involvement with the Avatar underground paper in the 1970s. His discussion may also be of interest to researchers into cults, because key figures involved in Avatar have been described as cult leaders.
