Signatures: A-C⁸.
Woodcut illustrations (including title vignette), devices and head-piece.
Illustrations: 1 large title vignette (78 x 78 mm., previously used as "Sterilita" in Le sorti di Francesco Marcolini (Venice, 1540)) and 21 small cuts, possibly designed for an edition of Apuleius's Metamorphoses (compare cut on p. 22, signed "L" (the blockcutter?) and unsigned cut from Apulegio volgare (Venice: Zoppino & Vicentio, 3 Sept. 1519) reproduced in Essling, Les livres à figures vénitiens, 2. pt. (1501-1525), p. 36). Probably not the work of Marcolini himself; cf. Casali, p. xii-xvii.
Devices: leaf C7r: device of Francesco Marcolini, with motto: Veritas filia temporis (cf. EDIT 16 U720); leaf C8r: device of Anton Francesco Doni, with motto: Quel che più mi molesta ascondo et taccio (EDIT 16 Z446).
